The Grand Hotel Mackinac Island ... Murder Is Served, and you are Invited.

Have you ever imagined yourself at a grand old hotel, as a very special guest, and a murder takes place?

Not any grand hotel, but THE Grand Hotel, Mackinac Island...

Now picture yourself at The Grand Hotel in 1887, the year the hotel first opened. Exciting? Beyond exciting! Take a trip back in time...to a grand time. To 1887 and be part of the grand opening of a legend.

You may fly in, or take the ferry. Those are your options because there are no cars on Mackinac Island. A visit alone is a trip back in time. To a quieter time, where time does stand still, where high tea is served every afternoon and everyone still dresses for dinner. Where people go out of their way to make sure your visit is beyond special...

Oh yes, when you get there, you may ride a horse, take a carriage, or of course walk...

And do something you haven't possibly done for the past year, due to covid and our heavy lock down. Get dressed up. Pull out all the stops. The hotel is elegant and you will feel elegant just being there...

But you can go to the Grand Hotel all season, and be a special guest, yet if you join us for the Murder Mystery weekend October 22 you will be part of an interactive event you will never forget.

Created by the world famous Murder Mystery Company and the genius of our leader Scott Crampton, our troupe of actors will not only have you on the edge of your seat, you will be out of your seat and involved! You may land up being one of the main characters, you may be asked to sing, or assist the detective...the requests are endless, but you will be part of it all.

Better than a game of Clue come to life, you will actually interrogate suspects, find clues and ultimately solve the murder...

Many of our activities will take place in the Grand Ballroom, but others will take place through out the hotel.

This is a photo of past guests, enjoying themselves on the porch...while murder is all around them.

Keep in mind, as grand as the murder is, the food is possibly even better. The cast jokes that everything at the Grand Hotel stops for food and we possibly are correct. The 5 course dinners are not to be believed. The servers go that extra mile to make you not only feel at home but pampered. Breakfast is unreal and pictured above are sweets from tea time...
